COLOUR AND SOUND - HEALING EFFECTS

Colour and Sound are related and have an healing effect on the body. Chanting or Toning whilst visualizing colours will produce a healing effect on the physical body.  How? A chant is a collection of specific sounds that are repeated over and over again.  This is to create a sound that resonates to the cellular body and causes a sense of penetrating vibrations that will stimulate, heal and balance the inner energy centres know as charkas.

When you repeat the following sounds in sequence you are helping to balance your charkas.  When you repeat any one of them individually you are effectively strengthening or healing that specific charka or energy centre in the body.  Then with the visualizing of the colour that relates to the energy centre or charka, you are now healing yourself through colour and sound.

A simple way of opening and clearing blockages then is to sing or tone the scale slowly upwards whilst visualizing the colour that relates to that charka:

  • Red - Note of C - Base - Sound OO - Reproductive organs, spine and kidneys - Great for grounding.

  • Orange - Note of D - Sacral - Sound O - Spleen, Liver - Great for creativity.
